The International Coach Federation defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative
process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential”.
We base coaching conversations on the understanding that every client is creative and resourceful, ie. they have the
skills and experiences to draw on that will steer them to solutions. It is our job to ask the right question, at the right
time, in the right way in order to allow the client to gain clarity and perspective and decide on a plan of action.
We act as a sounding board for clients to explore and develop new ideas. We hold clients accountable for their
actions and ultimate results, supporting and encouraging achievements that sometimes push the boundaries of what
was thought possible.
Coaching works by unlocking your own resources and potential. It helps you to gain greater clarity, boost your
motivation and determination to act and to develop your self belief, often the biggest obstacle to moving forward.
If you’re at a cross-roads career-wise, maybe thinking of returning to work, or considering a career change, or going through a redundancy situation and need outplacement support, we can help – we focus on building confidence and challenging the self-doubt and self-limiting beliefs that can hold you back from taking the leap into something new.
The programme outlined below helps you take small steps AND big steps to get you where you want to be, using your key strengths, doing the things that provide satisfaction and enjoyment. We’ll run you through exercises based on your career highlights to date and your vision for the future to help you identify:
We’ll help you make sure your CV highlights the things that prospective employers need to know about you. Similarly, we’ll talk about preparing a targeted and effective cover letter.
This is the most critical stage in a recruitment and selection process and you may only get an hour (at the most!) to convince a prospective employer that you’re the right person for the job. We’ll work with you on the following:
Choose to take the whole programme or focus on the steps you need the most help with. It starts with a conversation about your specific situation so we can recommend a programme that’s going to give you the most benefit.
